Het Schip Amsterdam

JK fermafloor has been applied at the renovation of Het Schip: a city block with social housing in Amsterdam. This means the 1921 monument will have optimal living comfort.

At Het Schip solar water heaters and PV-panels have been used. For traditional heat generation a boiler has been used. This system has been combined with JK fermafloor integrated floorheating. The advantage over a radiator is that it saves room in the already small residences (60 [m²]). Besides this, it is possible to heat with low temperatures, which makes the system sustainable.

The floor is built up as follows: the intermediate floor consists of a wooden beam layer with planks. Then a 2E26 floor element is placed on top, consisting of a 9 [mm] felt layer and two fermacell Gypsum Fibreboards (12.5 [mm] each). In this floor construction a 15 [mm] slot is ground dust-free, into which the JK flextube is accurately placed. On top of this a 10 [mm] pressure distribution plate from fermacell is placed.
